2019 Connect2STEM

Congratulations to our STEM all-stars

Southern Arizona was well-represented at the 2019 Connect2STEM Awards, with seventh-grader Owen Barrett of Esmond Station School in Tucson and Melanie Larson of the St. David Unified School District earning $1,000 for their favorite STEM programs for their outstanding work.

The awards, sponsored by Cox in partnership with the Arizona SciTech Festival, are part of our ongoing effort to inspire students to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields. This year’s finalists received more than 75,000 votes from people around the world in a two-week Facebook poll in March that decided the winners.
